What can AncestryHelp do for you?

AncestryHelp is for all ages

AncestryHelp is for the beginning genealogist, experienced family tree builder, and for other professionals

Sarah Lockwood is a proud Minnesotan, with ancestry from both an adopted family and a birth family.

Sarah loves the journey of ancestry research! Sarah sees exploring family histories and historical context similar to putting a giant jigsaw puzzle together. She would love to partner with you on your family journey as you continue to solve your puzzle.

Sarah Lockwood is the primary genealogist at AncestryHelp. She has been doing family research for herself and others for over a decade, discovering family history, photographs, documents, ancestors, and relatives across the United States, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Eastern Europe, Germany, Holland, and the British Isles. Research has included documentation for military service as far back as the Revolutionary War, land grants, and immigration origins.

Forensic genealogy has been a personal journey for Sarah. As an adoptee, she used what she learned about DNA matching to find her own birth mother and father! She would love to join you in your journey of discovering genetic family. Sarah has enjoyed sharing her genealogy knowledge as a guest speaker, workshop presenter, and family history researcher at charity events.

Sarah’s educational background has helped to hone her research skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Northwestern - St. Paul, MN, and a Master of Arts Degree from Wheaton College - IL, in Educational Ministries.

Genealogical Education has included earning a Certificate in Genealogical Research through Boston University, in 2021, and a Certificate in Investigative Genetic Genealogy through Ramapo College in New Jersey, in 2024. Sarah is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Sarah has also completed ProGen Study Group 61 to help further her skills.

Your adventure in family history awaits!
