How much does it cost to hire AncestryHelp?

The hourly rate for professional services of AncestryHelp is $50. Project options are listed on our SERVICES page. Project time is split between research and compilation of results into a report or final document. Further research time to seek additional answers may be contracted at the discretion of the client. Any outside expenses, such as fees to access records, postage, and travel, will be passed along to the client with prior approval. A contract for services and hours will be drawn up between AncestryHelp and the client to specify the scope of services.

AncestryHelp can be hired by the hour to coach you through a difficult part of your own project or provide some genealogical research coaching to help you grow your skills to become an even better hobby genealogist.

What is required to begin?

A signed contract for services and a deposit of 50% of the anticipated project cost will be required prior to the start of any services. The remaining balance will be due upon completion and delivery of the project.

Are research results guaranteed?

Results are never guaranteed in the world of research. In some cases, documentation just does not exist. Research will be conducted with efficient methods to produce the most successful results. If a successful search and writing is completed in less than the contracted time allotted, then a discounted final total will be adjusted accordingly.

Is my information private?

All research completed and information shared with AncestryHelp will be kept in the strictest confidence with the client only. Project results become the exclusive property of the client.
